A neighbourhood landmark redefining vertical living in Melbourne
The Queensbridge Building is a sculptural residential and hospitality tower located at 90 Queens Bridge Street, Southbank, conceived as a modern neighbourhood building rather than a conventional apartment tower. Developed by Time & Place in collaboration with Hickory, Fraser & Partners, and Flack Studio, the project blends timeless architecture, hospitality-led living, and deep respect for place and community.
Cast in bronze, stone, and textured concrete, the tower draws inspiration from Melbourne’s industrial heritage and natural landscape, while its interiors reinterpret vertical living through house-like apartments designed for long-term locals. A layered mix of private residences, flexible living apartments, and a neighbourhood hotel is supported by an extensive network of communal, wellness, and social spaces.

Prime Location: Strategically situated at 90 Queens Bridge Street, Southbank, The Queensbridge Building sits at the intersection of Melbourne’s CBD, the Yarra River, the Arts Precinct and South Melbourne. Its gateway position places residents within immediate reach of the city’s cultural, dining, entertainment and transport networks.
Design Philosophy: The building's architecture features a symbolic base of rough stone transitioning into a contemporary tower of bronze and glass, reflecting a blend of historical context and modern living.15-minute neighbourhood: Queensbridge embraces the 15-minute neighbourhood model, with work, wellness, dining, green spaces and cultural destinations all accessible within a short walk or cycle. This approach encourages reduced car reliance while supporting healthier, more connected urban living.
